MEDITATION

Meditation

The Book of Psalms taught meditation long before anyone created an app.

Sit in a comfortable position and breath naturally. To help focus your mind, repeat an easily remembered verse that has personal meaning for you. Try Psalms 46:10, “Be still and know that I am God,” or simply, “Jesus.” Calm the fears that may crowd out the love in your life. Clear your mind and regain your attention on the goodness and mercy of God.

Take a deep breath and relax as the Lord’s soft feathers surround you!

“He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.” Psalms 91:4 NIV

Psalm 62:5 & 6, The Message: “God, the one and only—I’ll wait as long as he says. Everything I hope for comes from him, so why not? He’s solid rock under my feet, breathing room for my soul, An impregnable castle: I’m set for life.”

Psalm 145:5, Living Bible: “I will meditate about your glory, splendor, majesty, and miracles.”
