During the 40s jazz scene, people sometimes described others as “cool cats” — stylish, calm, and self-assured. Currently, my favorite cool cat is Teawater, and he is purrfect to introduce what’s new in February at Mindful Caravan!
Teawater’s Journal
Teawater is my resident self-care expert. He and his friends bring you two new slideshows:
- A Simple Journal: Keeping stuff in your head makes life complicated. Imagine a simpler way. Let your mind wander each day to release emotions and encourage yourself without judgements.
- Circle of Control: a series that empowers you to stay cool as you master what is inside and outside your circle of control.
Refresh
Soul Care offers a new series of slides to help you grow closer to the lover of your soul. Keep in mind that new slides added will always appear at the beginning, so you don’t have to remember where you left off.
Wise Words
The 3rd Verse Club: My sister and some fellow choir members, affectionately known as The 3rd Verse Club, lament that many beautiful hymns’ third verses get omitted in church services. Here you go, girls.
Happy Camper
The first series of Fun Quotes arrives to give you a giggle and inspiration. Ferris Bueller reminds us, “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”
In the Mindful Caravan, we may promote being in the moment, but we also realize that mindfulness includes so much more. Like adding sugar and cream to create a great cup of coffee, reminiscing about the past can sweeten your days, while planning for the future can add the richness of hope.
Until next month, remember, dear reader, you are a cool cat: stylish, calm, and self-assured. But, most importantly, God sees you as His very own child and loves you with an everlasting love.
“Test me, Lord, and try me, examine my heart and my mind; for I have always been mindful of your unfailing love and have lived in reliance on your faithfulness.” Psalm 26:2-3
