Quotes: Closure

Quotes Feature

This selection of quotes focus on closure. If you missed my post, Don’t Wait for Closure, Realize It, you can read it here. Moving on from negative experiences is hard work, but it is possible and worth every effort. Don’t carry life’s burdens; lighten your load with healing and wholeness.

Are there any other Calvin and Hobbes fans out there? My favorite Calvin quote: “There’s never enough time to do all the nothing you want.” How can you argue with that philosophy?

According to Wikipedia, “Calvin and Hobbes was syndicated from 1985 to 1995. Commonly described as “the last great newspaper comic”, the strip has enjoyed enduring popularity, influence, academic and even a philosophical interest.”

“In 1995 Watterson concluded Calvin and Hobbes with a short statement to newspaper editors and his readers that he felt he had achieved all he could in the medium. Watterson expressed his negative views on comic syndication and licensing, his efforts to expand and elevate the newspaper comic as an art form, and his move back into private life after Calvin and Hobbes ended.”

Calvin and Hobbes was once featured in over 2,400 newspapers worldwide. In 2010, the strip returned to appear in more than 50 countries, and nearly 45 million copies of the Calvin and Hobbes books have been sold worldwide.”

Need a smile today? Read Calvin and Hobbes! Need some courage to realize your closure? Pull on your lucky underpants and believe you can do it!

Excellent quotes, Dana! I especially like the encouragement to share what we go through so that others may use it as a guide to overcome adversity. Never underestimate our God-given ability to positively shape the lives of young and old.
