God is always calling us to live life in a new way.
Do you enjoy trying unusual foods or an activity you have no experience in? How flexible is your routine or your life processes? Are you open to fresh ideas or are you staunchly status quo?
This last year has forced us to experience life in alternative ways. How have you adapted?
God will always challenge you to a different way of thinking or behavior. He will challenge your priorities and choices. God allows trying times and earthly problems to mold you, change you, reform you. He will interrupt your schedule with a call from a friend in need or a new volunteer position.
Will you accept a new way?
Be flexible, available, and willing to experience something different. Don’t cling to resentments of change. God lives in these unexpected moments. Remember that God is never random.
Isaiah 55:8-11, The Message: “I don’t think the way you think. The way you work isn’t the way I work. God’s Decree: For as the sky soars high above earth, so the way I work surpasses the way you work, and the way I think is beyond the way you think.”
Isaiah 43:18 & 19, Living Bible: “But forget all that—it is nothing compared to what I’m going to do! For I’m going to do a brand-new thing. See, I have already begun! Don’t you see it? I will make a road through the wilderness of the world for my people to go home, and create rivers for them in the desert!”
Jeremiah 29:11-13, Living Bible: “For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. You will find me when you seek me, if you look for me in earnest.”
