During December, everyone will deal with the question of Jesus. As much as the secular world tries, there is no Christmas without Christ. Don’t play in the shadows. Be a witness for Christ.
As God reaches out in love, do we shrink back in fear? Fear of punishment for our sin, fear of the loss of our control, or fear of judgement from our friends or neighbors? But love conquers all fear. The promises of Christ far outweighs anything we may miss in the world.
Christmas is the perfect reason to share His love as it resonates through our treatment of others. It is the love of Christ that draws people to Him, not condemnation for wrongdoing.
DON’T PLAY IN THE SHADOWS
We can say Happy Holidays all we want, but Jesus is the reason for the season. Let every glowing bulb on every light string remind us that the love and light of Christ is beckoning.
Psalm 144:3 & 4, Living Bible: “O Lord, what is man that you even notice him? Why bother at all with the human race? For man is but a breath; his days are like a passing shadow.”
Ephesians 5:8-10, The Message: “You groped your way through that murk once, but no longer. You’re out in the open now. The bright light of Christ makes your way plain. So no more stumbling around. Get on with it! The good, the right, the true—these are the actions appropriate for daylight hours. Figure out what will please Christ, and then do it.”
