JOURNEY

Along the Path

As one day melts into another, are you welcoming the signs of a new season or resisting because the future seems more unpredictable? Trust God on your journey.

Psalms 84:5 says, “Blessed are those whose strength is in you, whose hearts are set on pilgrimage.” Are you willing to journey with God as your trusted guide? Do you see your way forward as a spiritual pilgrimage?

Above all, God’s leading prompts us to change, like the seasons. Nothing in nature stays the same. We shouldn’t expect to be the exception. Like the trees changing color in the fall, our differences will happen gradually, not overnight.

For example, when we are with our friends, what if we kept our sarcastic thoughts, complaints or criticisms to ourselves? We allow God to enter our thoughts as we control them. Any anger, insecurity, and fear lurking in the dark places of our mind retreat further and further with each tiny shaft of His light.

Trust God to Guide Your Journey

Therefore, be optimistic about what God is trying to accomplish in your life. Accept change and journey with your trusted guide. Banish the darkness and bask in His glorious light!

Isaiah 58:11, The Message: “If you get rid of unfair practices, quit blaming victims, quit gossiping about other people’s sins, if you are generous with the hungry and start giving yourselves to the down-and-out, your lives will begin to glow in the darkness, your shadowed lives will be bathed in sunlight. I will always show you where to go. I’ll give you a full life in the emptiest of places—firm muscles, strong bones. You’ll be like a well-watered garden, a gurgling spring that never runs dry. You will use the old rubble of past lives to build anew, rebuild the foundations from out of your past. You’ll be known as those who can fix anything, restore old ruins, rebuild and renovate, make the community livable again.”
