Did you know that you always have a little pilot light of hope burning within you? Like a water heater, that tiny little flame is just waiting to ignite and keep your hope burning!
Even if something attempts to snuff out your hope, God is always there, ready to spark it back to life. This follows along with what I talked about last week in keeping your Sunny Side Up; it involves not just how you feel, but how you think and what you believe. Things always change; the sun always rises; each day is new. Decide to cultivate a positive attitude, make personal connections, decide what you feed yourself mentally and physically, and engage in self-care.
This crazy world we live in will try very hard to squelch your hope. After all, how can they sell you all those products, programs, and apps unless you are feeling hopeless?
But genuine hope never dies because God is endless. There is always help available to you. Don’t be afraid to reach out. Every person on the planet has experienced loss and suffering and defeat. Sometimes it is easy to think you are alone or your problems are unique, or you are to blame for feeling so bad, but that is not the truth of the matter.
You are a beloved child of God, and He loves you with an everlasting love. There is someone out there who is just waiting to help you. Ask God to help you find them, then venture out to a help center, a church, or a medical center. Pick up the phone and talk to someone. Reach out and God will meet you there.
Getting help can be hard at first; push through the struggle. You can do it and, believe me, it is so worth it! You are worth fighting for!

“Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.” Psalm 62:5-6
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9
“Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:16-18
