EVERLASTING CHANGE

Everlasting

We often talk about change, how everything changes, and God encourages us to change. But fear of change is big! Where can we find comfort and security if nothing stays the same?

There is only One, in all the universe, that remains unchanged: Our Father, God. He is our refuge, our strength, our ultimate security and comforter.

We can have peace in the midst of change

For example, allow moments of fear or doubt to float by like clouds in a storm. Dark skies always clear and the sun will shine again. Keep a list of Bible verses that encourage, empower, and inspire faith. We only find peace in the mystery, trust, and worship of the one and only God, not understanding and control. Begin building a life of peace (view my video here) by focusing on the unchanging, precious promises of God.

Revelation 1:8, in the New International Version says, “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.” (Alpha and Omega are the first and last letter of the Greek alphabet, meaning He is the beginning and the end.)

James 1:17, from the Living Bible: “But whatever is good and perfect comes to us from God, the Creator of all light, and he shines forever without change or shadow.” And Deuteronomy 33:27, “The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms.”

I will give you two translations of Hebrews 13:8. The first from the Living Bible, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”

I love this version from The Message: “For Jesus doesn’t change—yesterday, today, tomorrow, he’s always totally himself.”
