CANCEL CULTURE

Cancel Culture

Social issues, and the terminology used to describe them, change over generations. Who remembers “Make love, not war?” Today we have cancel culture, body shaming, and designated safe zones. Immediate access to social media makes every thought or opinion “tweetable.”

However, ancient Bible verses address the most complicated social issues. With prayer, you can transform your love and knowledge of God into action. Forget cancel culture. Touch one person at a time with God’s love and change the world!

1 Thessalonians 4:11 & 12, The Message: “Stay calm; mind your own business; do your own job. You’ve heard all this from us before, but a reminder never hurts. We want you living in a way that will command the respect of outsiders, not lying around sponging off your friends.”

Proverbs 17:27 & 28, The Message: “The one who knows much says little; an understanding person remains calm. Even dunces who keep quiet are thought to be wise; as long as they keep their mouths shut, they are smart.”

Proverbs 18:2, English Standard Version: “A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his opinion.”

Verse 18:13 in Proverbs, The Message: “Answering before listening is both stupid and rude.”

Proverbs 16:24, English Standard Version: “Gracious words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body.”
