Monday Motivation: Harmony

Monday Motivation Harmony

Here on Monday Motivation, we are weaving a beautiful tapestry of mindfulness. Every week I offer you a colorful thread to add to the fabric of your life, each thread working together in harmony.

As a music lover, harmony represents the perfect blend of voices. Not every voice is singing the same note, but when combined, they create fullness and richness of sound. Like sharing the human experience.

Adding our voice to the mix is an opportunity to create harmony. We all know people who are more like noisy gongs, bringing in gossip, criticism, and complaints. Harmony is all about attitude, about seeking peaceful coexistence as often as we can.

We will always have opportunities to deal with conflict. How much do we personalize and harbor ill feelings? Do we let negativity go or carry it around like a backpack that is getting heavier and heavier? Are we so full of fizz that when shaken, we explode like a can of soda?

Offer your harmonious voice, through tranquil encouragement, to the tapestry of life!

And for the perfect example of harmony with a Monday theme: The Mamas & The Papas from 1966 singing Monday, Monday on the Ed Sullivan show!

“If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.” 1 Corinthians 13:1

“Live in harmony with each other. Don’t be too proud to enjoy the company of ordinary people. And don’t think you know it all!” Romans 12:16

“Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony.” Colossians 3:14
