Monday Motivation: Peace

Monday Motivation Peace

Hello to a new week ahead! Build yourself up, Buttercup, with this Monday Motivation’s focus: Peace.

Peace is a complex word with many facets. As a society, we see it as being free of strife or conflict. Collectively, we can strive to work toward common goals and live together in harmony.

“Peace”

Individually, it is self-acceptance. Be happy with who you are and find your center with a spirit of quietness and gentleness. This doesn’t mean being a pushover or weak. It means choosing to display strength in a positive way, making peacefulness the basis of decisions and relationships.

Building a life of peace is not easy. Be ready to face interrupters. These can be circumstances we create for ourselves with snarky comebacks, impatient attitudes, and short tempers. Unexpected interrupters are like accidents, sickness, and things out of our control.

We don’t choose everything that happens to us, but we can choose what path we take in dealing with it, for instance. We can choose to turn away from worry, fear, and anxiety and decide to hold on to the deep, inner peace we work hard to cultivate.

Ultimately, perfect peace is a promise from God, and Jesus was sent to fulfill that promise. Please take these verses to heart:

“Jesus said, I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.”

John 14:27

“Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”

Philippians 4:7

My prayer for you comes from 2 Thessalonians 3:16, “Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.”

Have a delightfully peaceful week! See you Friday when we will continue our search for purpose.

Beautiful message and verses, Dana. I can’t agree more that, “We don’t choose everything that happens to us, but we can choose what path we take in dealing with it,” Right! Have a great week!
