FRESH AND FRUITFUL

Fresh and Fruitful

Have you ever thought about your life as a garden? Are you living a fresh and fruitful life by sowing seeds of caring, patience, and faithfulness?

When you start a garden do you create the tomato or apple? No, you plant a seed and care for the plant with water. You pull weeds that may try to overtake your tender plant, allowing its roots to grow strong. Over time, flowers turn to fruit. The fruit grows larger, more colorful and flavorful. With the right care, fruit comes naturally.

live fresh and fruitful!

How is life made fruitful? By sowing seeds of kindness and caring, by having patience and faithfulness in nurturing the gifts of God. Living as God directs, setting roots firmly in the good soil of His loving ways, life becomes fresh and fruitful!

John 15:5-8, The Message: “I am the Vine, you are the branches. When you’re joined with me and I with you, the relation intimate and organic, the harvest is sure to be abundant. Separated, you can’t produce a thing. Anyone who separates from me is deadwood, gathered up and thrown on the bonfire. But if you make yourselves at home with me and my words are at home in you, you can be sure that whatever you ask will be listened to and acted upon. This is how my Father shows who he is—when you produce grapes, when you mature as my disciples.”

Galatians 5:22 & 23, The Message: “But what happens when we live God’s way? He brings gifts into our lives, much the same way that fruit appears in an orchard—things like affection for others, exuberance about life, serenity. We develop a willingness to stick with things, a sense of compassion in the heart, and a conviction that a basic holiness permeates things and people. We find ourselves involved in loyal commitments, not needing to force our way in life, able to marshal and direct our energies wisely.”
